For Stiga Combi 55 SAE
Performance of original Stiga 5Ahr battery deteriorated rather rapidly after 3 years of relatively light use. No replacement available from Stiga who had discontinued it, a few available at up to £400 +.
Whilst I could not find a alternative which specifically listed my machine, found Stiga list which said they were interchangeable across their 80 volt range.
Ordered two 4Ahr batteries which were delivered within 14 days, very well packed. Put both on charge both had three lights on, less than an hour and they cut out fully charged. Immediately went out and cut my lawn and the first 4Ahr one still had 35% charge left. Previously when new the 5 Ahr had barely managed to do the whole lawn so the early indications are very encouraging. For a cost of just over £250 for two batteries provided by a third party provider they seem to provide very good value for money, including shipping from China
.Clearly I cannot comment on the longer term performance but the indications are encouraging.
